Speaking Overview: The speaking exam is made up of 3 parts and is designed to accurately judge a candidate’s ability to speak English. The test will last from 11-14 minutes.
Part 1 (4-5 Minutes)
In this part, candidates answer questions about themselves. The questions can cover such topics as country, home, work, studies, hobbies, holidays, movies, or trends.
Part 2 (3-4 Minutes)
Here, candidates are given a card with a topic on it and are expected to speak for 1-2 minutes about it. The candidates will be given one minute to prepare with a pencil and paper to take notes.
Part 3 (4-5 Minutes)
Finally, the candidates will be asked to answer a series of questions mildly related to topic 2. They will have two separate topics to discuss with the examiner.
