Below is the map of Beaverton from the years 1970 and 2010.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Answer: The map illustrates how the town of Beaverton changed from 1970 to 2010. Overall, the municipality experienced significant development regarding home and apartment construction on lands that used to be farms.
According to the first map in 1970, Beaverton consisted of mostly farm land with two farm houses controlling the majority of the land and one farmers market for producers to sell their goods. With only one main road running through town, Beaverton was quite small with six homes spanning just off the main road. Otherwise, across from the farmers market, Beaverton had its own Post Office and next to the homes, was a primary school.
Conversely, in 2010, Beaverton looked to be considerably more urbanized with eight additional homes and a massive apartment building. Furthermore, the existing farmland was turned into a Golf Course and the farmers market transformed into a Supermarket. While the Post Office is in the exact location as it was in 1970, the primary school moved eastward to make way for the supplementary homes. Moreover, Beaverton now sits adjacent to a main freeway, and the city built more interior roads.
