Example Response

Model Answer (approx. 2 minutes)

Topic: A purchase you were not satisfied with (A Smartwatch).

"I’m going to tell you about a smartwatch I bought online last year. I had been saving up for it for months because the advertisements claimed it had a 'revolutionary' battery life and advanced health tracking features. I bought it directly from the manufacturer’s website during a Black Friday sale.

I was initially excited when it arrived. The packaging was sleek, and the watch looked premium. However, my dissatisfaction started almost immediately. The battery, which was advertised to last a week, barely lasted 12 hours. I had to charge it twice a day! Furthermore, the step counter was wildly inaccurate; it would register steps while I was just sitting on the couch typing.

I was not happy because it was a significant investment for me, and I felt misled by the marketing. It didn't perform the basic functions it promised.

Consequently, I decided to return it. The return process was a nightmare of customer service emails, but eventually, I got a full refund. It taught me a valuable lesson: always read impartial reviews from real users before buying expensive tech gadgets, rather than trusting the company’s advertisements."
