With the widespread use of technology in the modern era, many young people are having an increased trouble communicating face to face. Discuss one or two possible solutions for this problem.

In the contemporary world, the myriad use of technology has expanded the ability of people to identify problems from around the globe. One of the topics that are constantly discussed is that of increased use of technology. While this is not a particularly new problem for modern society, experts have debated and enacted a wide array of policies, with some being more successful than others. This essay will detail two strategies that help combat this issue of young person’s dependence on technology, precisely focusing on increasing the education of youth and technology use and promoting community events that focus on outdoor activities.

Education is at the forefront of combating some of society’s worst societal behaviors, and while these issues range in scope, adolescent dependence on technology is among those included. Children learn many academic concepts when they attend the various stages of education, yet, some of the most important teaching occurs in a child’s social life. Instructors ought to use this to their advantage and offer courses on how technology can make lives easier, but also address the negative aspects. They can encourage technology in certain circumstances such as performing homework but bring awareness to the downfalls of it like developing anti-social behavior, or becoming obese.

Yet, while such long-term programs are a priority, communities need short term actions like outdoor community events. Community organizers can put together outdoor games such as a large capture the flag, or perhaps even offering game fairs that encourage students to interact face-to-face without the use of their phones. These types of outings will introduce students to wide array of options for entertainment that don’t include the use of technology.

With all things considered, the most promising result for rectifying the issue of overuse of technology by youths is to focus on education and community engagement. In light of the argument laid out above, it is hoped that this discussion moves into the public realm in order to progress the movement forward.
